HONEST COMPARISON

Hibu makes you call for pricing. Why does ZOOGABOOG! just publish it?

Hibu does real marketing work, and plenty of owners are happy with it. But to find out what it costs, you request a quote and talk to a sales rep, then sign a contract that Hibu's own site says typically runs 6 to 12 months. We skip that part. Every ZOOGABOOG! price is already on the page, and you can cancel any month you want.

The short answer

Hibu is a solid pick if you want one sales rep running your digital ads and you are comfortable requesting a quote and signing a contract Hibu's own site says typically runs 6 to 12 months. ZOOGABOOG! is built for owners who want the number first: websites from $300, logos from about $250, care plans from $25 a month, all month to month, no setup fee, cancel any time.

Last verified August 22, 2026. Hibu does not publish prices on hibu.com, so the contract length and other figures here come from Hibu's own site and independent reviews, both checked August 22, 2026.

Sound familiar?

If you've gotten as far as filling out Hibu's request a quote form, you already know why we built this page.

"I can't find a single price on Hibu's website."

That's not you missing a page. Hibu's own pricing page lists three plans, Establish, Reach, and Expand, and every single one ends at a button asking you to request custom pricing, no dollar figure in sight.

"Wait, which contract length actually applies to me?"

Hibu's own terms set a different minimum for almost every service: 12 months for basic display ads, 6 for the standard tier, 3 for the premium tier. Ours is one length, for everything: month to month.

"They told me the site belonged to Hibu."

That's a real complaint quote about cancelling, and it echoes what shows up in G2's review summary and a thread on Google's own support forum: owners who lost access to their website or their Google Business Profile after they left. With us, every file is yours, full stop.

So what do you actually get for the money?

Hibu does not publish a price list. The numbers in this table come from Hibu's own site and independent reviews, checked August 22, 2026, not an official rate card. Where sources disagree with each other, and on Hibu's numbers they disagree by a lot, we say so instead of quietly picking whichever number makes the comparison look best. If you want the fuller picture of what a small business website should actually cost across the industry, we cover that separately too.

So when is Hibu actually the better call?

Here's the real one. Hibu runs Google search ads, Bing, Meta and Instagram, Amazon, and display, all under one account manager, for what its own site calls tens of thousands of local businesses. That is a genuinely large, established operation. If you want to hand a serious ad budget to one person and stop thinking about platform logins, that is exactly Hibu's job. Plenty of owners are glad they did it. Before you sign anything, it is worth knowing what agencies typically charge industry wide, so you know whether the number you are quoted is normal for what you are getting.

If you are already six months into a Hibu contract and the campaigns are working, do not switch just to prove a point. Finish the term, look at the actual return you are getting, and make the next call with real numbers in front of you instead of a page like this one. We would rather you stay somewhere that is working than switch somewhere new out of spite, and we mean that.

And if what your business actually needs is a dedicated account manager coordinating a five figure monthly ad spend across multiple platforms, that is a bigger, more hands on job than a self serve catalog like ours is built for. We are built for owners who want to see the price and drive the plan themselves. If you want someone else fully driving a large paid media program, Hibu's model fits that better than ours does.

Worth a look either way: what a small business website should actually cost, what agencies typically charge, or free Google Business Profile snapshot.

Who ZOOGABOOG! is for

We built ZOOGABOOG! for independent business owners who want a marketing department without hiring one, and without signing for one. One account covers your website, logo, print, signs, apparel, AI services, and monthly marketing help, with your brand applied to all of it through a free Brand Kit.

You can start with a $300 website or a $25/mo care plan and add more only when you are ready. If you are not sure what you need, that is fine. Start with one thing, and we will figure out the rest together.

So which one is actually right for you?

Both of these are honest answers. Pick based on where your business actually is today, not where you wish it was. Still narrowing it down? Thryv comparison, or LocalIQ comparison.

Choose Hibu if

  • You want one sales rep managing a serious ad budget across Google, Bing, Meta, and Amazon, and you would rather hand it off than run it yourself.
  • You are comfortable requesting a quote and signing a contract that Hibu's own site says typically runs 6 to 12 months, in exchange for a fully managed program.
  • You only need digital marketing, ads, a website, listings, and reviews, and have no reason to also order print, signs, or apparel from the same vendor.

Choose ZOOGABOOG! if

  • You want to see every price before you talk to anyone: websites at $300, $1,500, or $3,500, logos from about $250, care plans from $25 a month.
  • You want month to month with no setup fee, so you can cancel the day it stops working for you, not six months later.
  • You want one account for print, signs, apparel, and digital work, with your logo and brand applied automatically through a free Brand Kit.

Hibu questions, answered

The ones we actually hear from owners comparing the two.

Why won't Hibu just tell me what it costs?
Because Hibu prices its plans through a sales conversation, not a rate card. Its official pricing page shows three tiers, Establish, Reach, and Expand, and every single one ends at a button asking you to request custom pricing, no dollar figures anywhere on the page. Independent reviews do not agree with each other either. Estimates for what businesses actually pay each month range enormously depending on the source and the services included, so there is no honest single number we or anyone else outside Hibu can hand you. We built ZOOGABOOG! the opposite way: every price is already on the page before you talk to anyone.
How long is a Hibu contract, and can I get out of it early?
Hibu's own pricing page FAQ says contract terms typically run 6 to 12 months, depending on what is in your plan. Its general terms go further and set different minimums by service: up to 12 months for basic display ads, 6 for the standard tier, 3 for the premium tier, while websites and video products carry no minimum term at all. Read your specific agreement before you sign, since the actual length depends on exactly what you buy.
Does Hibu charge a setup fee on top of the monthly cost?
Hibu does not publish a setup fee anywhere on its own site. Independent reviews do not agree on one either. Reported figures range widely, from well under $100 to several hundred dollars, depending on the source and the service. ZOOGABOOG! is simpler here: there is no setup fee, ever, on anything you order.
If I cancel Hibu, do I keep my website and my Google Business Profile?
Not automatically. Hibu's own general terms give you a license to reuse only the written copy it created for you, and only if your account is paid in full. There is no such guarantee for the website itself, and Hibu states it has no obligation to preserve your content after you leave. It's also a recurring theme in Hibu reviews: reviewers on G2 and a thread on Google's own Business Profile support forum both describe losing access to their site or their listing after cancelling. With ZOOGABOOG!, every file is yours, always. If you want to check where your Google Business Profile stands right now, our free Google Business Profile snapshot will show you in a couple minutes.
Is Hibu worth it for a small business in 2026?
That depends on what you need and how you feel about the tradeoffs. Hibu is a large, established company managing ads for tens of thousands of local businesses, according to its own site, and if you want one rep running a serious ad budget, it can be a good fit. Hibu holds an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, but that same profile shows 109 complaints in the past 3 years, and review scores swing wildly by platform, from 2.1 out of 5 on ComplaintsBoard to 4.4 out of 5 on ConsumerAffairs. Read a range of reviews before you decide, not just one, and honestly, not just ours.
What do real Hibu customers complain about most?
The most common threads are pricing surprises, contract length, and what happens after you cancel. Complaint boards and review sites describe monthly bills that came in far above what people expected, contracts of 6 to 12 months that are hard to unwind early, and, in a number of accounts, losing access to a website or Google Business Profile after leaving. Not every customer has this experience, plenty of Hibu reviews are positive, but these are the patterns that show up again and again.
Is there a month to month alternative to Hibu with published prices?
Yes, that is basically the whole idea behind ZOOGABOOG!. Every price is published on the site: websites at $300, $1,500, or $3,500, logos from about $250, and care plans at $25, $50, $100, or $250 a month, all month to month with no contract and no setup fee. If you are weighing other contract-based marketing companies too, we wrote the same honest breakdown for our Thryv comparison and our LocalIQ comparison.
Can I start with ZOOGABOOG! while I'm still locked into a Hibu contract?
Yes. A lot of owners start with something their Hibu contract does not cover, like a free Brand Kit, a print order, new signage, or a website refresh, and move the rest over once their Hibu term ends. Tell us where you are in your contract and we will help you plan the timing instead of pushing you to switch everything at once.

See every price right now. No call, no contract, no surprises.

Pick one thing your business needs and start there. If you are not sure which thing, that is okay too, we will figure it out with you.
