Give it room to breathe
Print at least 1 in wide, and leave a clear margin of empty space around the code so a camera can lock onto it.
Keep the contrast strong
A dark code on a light background scans best. Very light or low-contrast colors leave phones hunting, so when in doubt, stay dark.
Always test-scan before you print
Check the finished code with a couple of different phones first. Catching a typo on screen is free; catching it on 500 flyers is not.
